Register for our FREE COMPASS NYC SUMMER RISING Program for children in Kindergarten to 5th grade. THIS PROGRAM IS FOR SUMMER 2026.
Young Dancers (YDR) will be offering Summer Rising services by grade. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed. Your child will be expected to attend in person programming five full days per week. The Summer Rising program runs from 8:00 am to 5:40 pm for five days a week (Monday to Friday). The morning will be academic with the Department of Education and transition at 12pm for lunch and afternoon activities with Young Dancers.
Again, it is a full day program and you do not have the option to pick attending morning or afternoon only.
The program will provide academic enhancement, sports, art, dance, leadership, and literacy. Slots are limited. Submitting an online application does not guarantee acceptance into our program.
Online REGISTRATION!
No paper applications. Registration will be online. The registration is OPEN. This is a Department of Ed website and YDR has no control or involvement with it. If you need assistance you will need to go to the Parent Coordinator for help.
You will create an account if you don’t already have one. If you need a creation code, you will need to ask the parent coordinator of your school. You can register NOW. Have your child’s OSIS # ready for the online registration process. You must also have a personal email address (not your child’s school email). Once you complete the online registration, the Dept. of Ed will review and make you an offer of a program. Once you accept the offer, your application will be sent to YDR. At that time, YDR will process the information and send you the additional paperwork needed for completion of the registration process and acceptance into the program. Until you receive an email from YDR saying you ARE accepted into the program, you are NOT accepted.

March 3: Application opens
March 27: Application closes
April 21: Results released.
May 5: Deadline to accept an offer if you receive one.
July 1: Summer Rising starts
August 14: Summer Rising ends for grades K-5

Additional Application Requirements:
You will need to submit YDR medical form ONLY (no other medical will be accepted) and your child’s OSIS# from the public school.
